On November 19, 2015 the 16th Meeting of the Working Subgroup on Combating Trafficking in Persons and Illegal Migration took place on the premises of the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in Khmelnitsky. Delegations of GUAM Member States took part in the meeting.

Back to back with the meeting, under coordination of GUAM Secretariat, a training seminar on “The Use of Criminal Operative Analysis in the Arrangements on Countering Illegal Migration and Trafficking in Persons” was held on November 17-18, 2015, on the same premises. The participants of the above-mentioned events exchanged information on national legislation, operational situation and activities of GUAM Member States in the sphere of combating Trafficking in Persons and countering Illegal Migration, including issues of bilateral cooperation. Practical aspects of the use of criminal operative analysis in appropriate arrangements of the competent bodies of GUAM Member States were learned during the seminar. Delegations discussed implementation of the Working Subgroup action plan during 2015 and proposals to the plan of work for 2016.

The next meeting of the Subgroup will be held in the 1st quarter of 2016 in Chisinau.
