The State Parties to the Agreement on Establishment of Free Trade Area among GUUAM Participating States (further referred to as the Agreement), signed on July 20, 2002, hereinafter referred to as the Contracting Parties,

for the purpose of acceleration of the process of forming of free trade area in the framework of GUAM

Have agreed as follows:

  1. Elaborate the Rules of determination of the country of origin of goods of GUAM Participating States (further referred to as the Rules) to the Agreement on Establishment of Free Trade Area among GUUAM Participating States signed on July 20, 2002, in accordance with the standards of World Trade Organization (WTO).
  2. Until the elaboration of the Rules, in accordance with the paragraph 1 of the present Protocol, for determination of the country of origin of goods in GUAM Free Trade Area, the GUAM Participating States, provisionally will use the Rules of determination of the country of origin of goods, approved by the Decision of the Heads of Governments of the Commonwealth of Independent States on November 30, 2000.

This Protocol shall enter into force from the date of signature.

Done in Kyiv on 22 May 2006 in a one true copy in the Russian and English languages, each text have equal force.

The true copy shall be deposited by the Government of Georgia, which shall send its certified copy to the Contracting Parties to this Protocol.
