August 26, 2016, in the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, held a meeting of the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport of Ukraine on European integration Mykola Movchan and Secretary General of GUAM Altai Efendiev.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador for Special Assignments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Kononenko and Deputy Head of the Department for International Cooperation and European Integration of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Iryna Turetskaya.
Noting the special importance and urgency of working with young people, the participants exchanged views on the main areas of cooperation of the GUAM member states on youth and sports issues and close cooperation with international organizations and GUAM partners in this direction. In particular, it was noted the importance of organizing and holding joint sport and youth events in GUAM countries, the restoration of the GUAM Youth Forum, etc.
As a result of the meeting, practical measures were agreed to establish a Working Group on Youth and Sports within the GUAM.
