On October 5–6, 2026 in Tbilisi, under Chairmanship of Georgia was held an 11th meeting of the GUAM Working Group on Culture and Tourism. At the Meeting representatives of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine discussed further strengthening cooperation and interstate ties in the fields of culture and tourism under current security developments.

The participants agreed that effective GUAM Member States interaction, cultural diplomacy and synergy in the development of culture and tourism enable GUAM States to effectively shape shared economic interests, enhance people-to-people contacts and promote the unique historical and cultural heritage of the GUAM region in the world.

To facilitate the achievement of these objectives, Members of the Group elaborated and approved a mid-term Action Plan for tourism development and strengthening participating countries’ cultural ties.

Members of the Group also exchanged information on accumulated in the GUAM Member States experience and best practices in the protection, restoration, preservation of cultural heritage and tourism development and discussed further measures for to promote cultural and tourism exchanges, purposed also to strengthen GUAM  Member States institutional partnerships in the fields of culture and tourism.
