On April 22-23, 2015, the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv hosted the 10th Meeting of Working Group on Transport. This event took place under the Moldovan Presidency and involved delegations from GUAM member states and representatives of the GUAM Secretariat.
Participants in the meeting received information on the development of transport branch in the respective GUAM member states and discussed issues related to the elaboration of new cooperation programmes and projects on the basis of the “Development Concept for the GUAM Transport Corridor”.
Participants in the meeting obtained information related to the development of the “International Transport Corridor Baltic Sea – Black Sea”.
The Parties agreed to organize the specialized conference “GUAM-Transit-2” in order to improve the regulatory and legal framework for tariff policy, which is aimed at mobilising transit traffic through theo international transport corridors passing through GUAM countries’ territory.
The next meeting of the Working Group will be held in the second half of 2015. The exact date and venue of this event will be agreed upon through diplomatic channels.
