10th Meeting of the Working Group on Culture and Tourism was held via videoconference on November 18, 2025 under the chairmanship of Georgia. The meeting was attended by representatives of respective GUAM Member States Agencies and the GUAM Secretariat.
Participants discussed current trends and challenges to tourism in the GUAM region including during a wartime, exchanged information on measures to reform the tourism sector and concentrated on issues of strategic development of tourism within the GUAM area.
Members of the Group discussed issues of further development of the GUAM Member States’ cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism, including on sharing experience in respective areas and expressed interest to develop a mid-term Plan of activities that might include issues related to promotion of culture and tourism in the GUAM Area, sharing information on best practices, strengthening ties between universities specializing in tourism education, support for cooperation between tourism companies of GUAM Member States, further strengthening of the GUAM Member States cooperation within relevant international organizations.
