May 31, 2016, in Odesa, the 12th meeting of the GUAM Working Group was held at the level of heads of departments of the GUAM member states responsible for the development of transport with the participation of the GUAM Secretariat.
The participants of the meeting heard the information of the GUAM member countries’ national delegations on the measures to develop transport and increase the transit potential of the GUAM member states as well as the information of the Secretariat on the implementation of the GUAM Transport Corridor Development Concept.
The participants of the meeting adopted the Odesa Declaration of the Heads of the GUAM member states responsible for the development of transport and approved the Action Plan for increasing the cargo transportation along the GUAM transport corridor. During the meeting, the work done by the experts on the development and implementation of this Plan was highly appreciated.
The participants of the meeting expressed their gratitude to the Ukrainian Party for the hospitality and good organizational work performed.
The meeting participants agreed to hold their regular meeting in the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv in the first half of 2017. The date will be agreed through diplomatic channels.
