The 20th regular meeting of the Working Group on emergencies was held on the premises of the Secretariat on June 3-4, 2019 under the chair of the Georgian Side. Delegations of all the Member States took part in the sessions.
The participants took an active part in the deliberations. In particular, they summarized the outcome of implementation of the European-funded project «Eastern Partnership flagship initiative» in the frame of the EU Project «PPRD East – II» that found its end on May 30, 2019; took note of a presentation made by the Ukrainian Side on the liquidation of the consequences of the emergencies in the areas of military actions; discussed the issue of the Joint Plan of Actions between Ukraine and Azerbaijan in the sphere of emergencies, which is on the pipeline.
The Group also discusses the draft project entitled «Assessment of natural and anthropogenic risks and rehabilitation ways of the territories affected in the course of armed conflicts and emergencies in GUAM Member States» and recommended that it should be finally agreed at the national levels.
The next meeting of the Group will be convened in the fourth quarter of 2019.
