On September 10-11, 2013, the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv hosted the 28th Meeting of the GUAM Council of National Coordinators (CNC). This event involved the following officials: Mr. E. Agayev, Director of the External Planning and Strategic Research Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Mr. D. Djalagania, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and GUAM National Coordinator from Georgia, who chaired the meeting; Mr. I. Stavila, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine; Mr. V. Mayko, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and GUAM National Coordinator from Ukraine; and Mr. V. Chechelashvili, Secretary General of GUAM.

The CNC considered issues of political cooperation, inter-parliamentary cooperation, and discussed a range of issues of sectoral cooperation of GUAM, particularly in the fields of law enforcement, the fight against money laundering, as well as the identification and confiscation of proceeds from crime, legal statistics, fighting cybercrime, emergency response, energy, economy and trade. The CNC also discussed issues of GUAM-Japan, GUAM-USA and GUAM-Pacific Alliance cooperation and agreed on the draft documents from the 21st Meeting of the CMFA, held within the margins of the United Nations GA.

The CNC agreed to hold the next meeting in Kyiv in mid-November 2013.
