12 December 2019, within the Meeting of the Heads of Governments of the GUAM Member States, the 2nd Business Forum «Public and private partnership in the implementation of the GUAM key projects for facilitating trade and transport» was held in which representatives of national delegations, international organizations, diplomatic corps, business circles and business associations took part.
During the event, the presentations were made regarding the development of Free Trade Area and Transport Corridor as the GUAM flagman projects, the launch of GUAM Digital Trade Hub for the provision of e-services in customs, tourism and transport, the implementation of blockchain technology in the GUAM Member States, as well as the transport corridors capabilities under the digital transformation.
It was emphasized the importance of the Meeting of the Heads of Government of the GUAM Member States, as well as the signing the Protocols of intent between the Customs Administrations of GUAM Member States on the use of blockchain technologies in verifying certificates of goods’ origin transported across the state borders of the GUAM Member States and on the mutual recognition of Authorized Economic Operators.
Participants noted the need to hold the GUAM Business Forum on a regular basis.
