On 19 April 2010, the Sixth meeting of experts for developing GUAM joint tourist product took place in the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv with the participation of the representatives of tourist administrations, travel companies of GUAM Member States, as well as the representatives of Japan and Republic of Uzbekistan (in the capacity of observer) and GUAM Secretariat.
During the meeting participants discussed the outcome of Moldova-Ukraine information tour (13-18 April 2010) and endorsed structure of GUAM Guide Book. The Sides agreed to start developing of GUAM Touristic Internet Portal and agreed Draft Agenda for Working group on a Ministerial level, which will take place in June 2010 in Baku.
The Sides considered possibility of inclusion of touristic component of the Republic of Uzbekistan in GUAM joint tourist product, considering extensive tourist potential of Uzbekistan and existence of direct flight Tashkent-Tokyo, Tashkent-Osaka, Tashkent-Baku, Tashkent-Tbilisi and Tashkent-Kyiv.
