On 28-30 October 2009, within the activities of the Global Initiative on Combating Acts of Nuclear Terrorism the Fourth International Forum “Physical Nuclear Security – Counteraction Measures to Acts of Nuclear Terrorism” organized by the Scientific-Research Information-Analytical Centre “LEX” with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine took place in the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine.
At the Forum, there were considered the issues of international cooperation, legislative and regulatory infrastructure, security and physical protection of nuclear installations, nuclear materials and enterprises of nuclear-industrial complex, detection of nuclear and radioactive materials on the border and in other places and reaction on illegal and malicious acts, some other issues.
In the work of the Forum, that was welcomed by Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, GUAM National Coordinator
Mr. Oleksandr Gorin the representatives of UNODC/TPB, IAEA Office of Nuclear Security, GUAM Secretariat, profile organizations from Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania are participated.
