On 14 May 2009 in the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv, the Expert meeting of the Representatives of the GUAM Border Guard Authorities took place with the purpose to discuss the issues of practical implementation of the Framework GUAM-US Program project on “Improvement of Border Guard Control in Accordance with International Standards for Securing GUAM Transport Corridor”, which was approved by the Decision of the GUAM Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs on 4 December 2008.
The suggestions on the implementation during 2009-2010 within the frameworks of the above mentioned “big” project of relevant sub-project on “Improvement of Border Control Methods and Technology in Accordance with International Standards and Practices: Vehicles Check” were also discussed at the meeting.
