On November 10, 2010 Secretary General of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM was received by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Georgia Mr.Georgi Lordkipanidze in the margins of his working visit to Tbilisi.
The Sides discussed issues of cooperation in “GUAM” and “GUAM+” formats, paid special attention to cooperation in the field of combating organized crime.
The Sides noted the significance of realizing the full potential, generated by the GUAM over past years. In this regard, the Sides stressed the importance of providing National Components of the Virtual Centre with cryptographic facility and signing of respecting contract in this respect. The document is agreed to be signed during the Meeting of GUAM National Coordinators, which will take place on November 23-24, 2010 in the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv.
The Sides stressed the importance of implementation of regional project on combating organized crime and their significance for strengthening of stability and security in GUAM region.
