On 7 and 8 April 2010 in Strasbourg, Program Coordinator on Political-Legal Issues of the GUAM Secretariat Mr. Georgii Nazarov participated in the 18th meeting of the Council of Europe Committee of experts on terrorism (CODEXTER). In his intervention (see the text), the representative of the GUAM Secretariat drawn special attention to the actual implementation of the GUAM project on encryption protection of information within the channels of the GUAM Interstate Information Management System (IIMS) as well as general intensification of the activities of GUAM in the sphere of combating terrorism and other dangerous types of crime. Since 2008, GUAM has an observer status in the CODEXTER.
