On September 16, 2009 OSCE Secretary General H.E. Mr. Marc Perrin de Brichambaut visited GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv.The Sides underlined the importance of the dialog between both organizations and informed each other about the next meetings in OSCE and GUAM formats – OSCE Ministerial meeting in Athens as well as GUAM CMFA in New York.
The Sides shared their views in the context of development of particular programs of OSCE-GUAM partnership. In this context the prospect of cooperation in the sphere of combating organized crime and boundary cooperation was emphasized.
The Sides agreed to facilitate contacts between relevant experts of both secretariats.
OSCE delegation was represented by Lubomir Kopaj, Ambassador, OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine, Rene BeBeau, Senior Project Officer and Francesco Pagani, Policy Support Officer.
GUAM Secretariat was represented by Georgii Nazarov, Program Coordinator on Political-Legal Issues.
