On 8th November the Secretary General of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM was received by Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Mahmud Mamedkuliev during his working visit to Baku.
The Sides discussed projects and programs of cooperation in “GUAM” and “GUAM+” formats, particularly focused on perspectives of their implementation, including possibility of access to financial resources provided in the margins of the European Union “Eastern Partnership”. The necessity to facilitate consultations of GUAM member-states for better coordination of positions in order to use more effectively their capacity for the implementation of regional projects in interaction with Flagship Initiatives of “Eastern Partnership”, in particular, “Integrated Border Management”, was particularly emphasized.
The Sides emphasized the importance of project implementation process for the consolidation of integration and stability in GUAM area and agreed to continue consultations to this end.
