On March 10, 2016, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Ukraine, Mr. Ernő Keskeny, received the Secretary General of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM, Mr. Altai Efendiev.
During their conversation, which took place in a friendly and constructive spirit, the SG briefly briefed the Ambassador about the latest developments in the Organization, the Chairmanship programme, and activity priorities for the current year. The Parties exchanged views related to new initiatives and projects within the GUAM and GUAM+ initiative, and also regarding the prospects for cooperation within these particular formats. The Parties also discussed the general situation prevailing in the region.
The Secretary General expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador of Hungary for cooperating with GUAM within the Visegrad Group format and for supporting GUAM member-states, and also expressed hope for further cooperation. The Ambassador expressed interest in cooperation with GUAM countries in areas of mutual interest.
The Parties agreed to continuing cooperation and exchanging information.
