On November 24, 2011, the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv, which is currently under the chairmanship of the Republic of Moldova, held a regular meeting of the Bureau of the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly. The meeting involved the heads of delegation to the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly, as well as the GUAM Secretariat.

The Bureau of the Parliamentary Assembly approved the composition of the national delegations and the Chairpersons of the Committees of the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly and also agreed to submit proposals with respect to the agenda for the Assembly’s Committees, in addition to the time and place of the Committees’ future meetings.

During the meeting, the participants adopted a Statement by the Bureau of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM with respect to the so-called presidential elections held in the Tskhinvali Region/ South Ossetia of Georgia. The participants also considered the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly draft resolution to amend the Rules of Procedure of the GUUAM Parliamentary Assembly, and also accepted greetings on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Baltic Assembly.
