On October 10-11, 2011 in Batumi the second experts’ meeting on questions of the development of auxiliary road infrastructure took place. This event was organised by the International Road and Transport Union (IRU), the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM, with the participation of programme coordinator Mr. S. Temirov took place.
Participants in the meeting discussed the model highway initiative, as well as the role that is being played by various organisations and institutes in the development of auxiliary road infrastructure.
During the meeting Mr. S. Temirov informed participants about the GUAM transport policy and about the implementation of GUAM Trade and Transport Facilitation projects.
