On December 18, 2013, the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv, Ukraine hosted the Working Meeting on Combating Cybercrime.
The delegations agreed on the creation of a new GUAM Working Body on Combating Cybercrime and examined proposals regarding its tasks and functions.
Participants discussed issues of cooperation and coordination between the new working body and a number of other GUAM working bodies in different fields.
The delegations expressed their interest in cooperating on cybercrime between GUAM and other international partners, including the Council of Europe, the OSCE, the United Nations, the European Union, and the USA.
The parts discussed possibilities for use of the GUAM Law Enforcement Center by those national agencies involved in combating cybercrime.
The outcomes of the meeting were reflected in the resultant Protocol. The constitutive meeting of the GUAM Working Body on Combating Cybercrime is scheduled to take place in the second quarter of 2014.
