On December 12, 2011, Mr. Valeri Chechelashvili, the Secretary General of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM paid a working visit to the Azerbaijan Republic.
Within the scope of the working visit, the Secretary General held a meeting with Mr. Araz Azimov, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Azerbaijan Republic and the GUAM National Coordinator, as well as with the Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan, Mr. Natig Aliyev.
During the visit, the parties discussed issues regarding current cooperation within the GUAM framework and the priorities of the Presidency, to be held by the Azerbaijan Republic, in 2012.
