The Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the GUUAM Member States, hereinafter referred to as the “Parties,”
attaching great importance to the development of trade, economic, scientific, and technical cooperation between the GUUAM Member States;
guided by the desire of the business communities of the GUUAM Member States to create favorable conditions for entrepreneurial activity based on principles based on the criteria of the Free Trade Area;
based on necessity to implement measures aimed at familiarizing the business circles of the GUUAM Member States with the possibilities of mutually beneficial cooperation on a bilateral and multilateral basis through the exchange of exhibitions on economic issues;
have agreed as follows:
Article 1
In order to implement this Agreement, the Parties shall:
– exchange legislative and other regulatory acts governing exhibition and fair activities, as well as methodological and analytical materials in this area;
– assist each other in resolving problematic issues (including customs issues) related to the development of exhibition and fair activities in the territories of the States Parties to this Agreement;
– facilitate the training and professional development of specialists involved in exhibition and fair activities, and conduct joint seminars and conferences on exhibition activities;
– conduct a prompt mutual exchange of information on exhibitions and fairs held in the States Parties to this Agreement and post links to the websites of the Parties;
– facilitate business missions of entrepreneurs organized by the Parties during exhibitions and fairs.
Article 2
The Parties shall ensure the annual organization of joint trade and industrial exhibitions and fairs of the GUUAM Member States on preferential terms in the territory of one of the Contracting Parties in accordance with an agreed plan adopted by consensus.
Article 3
Each Party shall bear the costs associated with its participation in the exhibition events referred to in Article 1 of this Agreement, under conditions previously agreed upon between the Parties.
Article 4
The subject, date and venue of the exhibitions and fairs shall be agreed upon by the Parties no later than one year prior to the planned opening date of these events.
Article 5
In order to coordinate practical activities and develop specific measures for the implementation of this Agreement, the Parties shall establish a working group and regularly, at least once a year (alternately in the state of each of the Parties), hold working meetings and consultations between subdivisions of the Parties, taking part in exhibition and fair activities.
The time and place of such meetings and consultations shall be agreed upon by the Parties in advance.
Article 6
Within this Agreement, the Parties may sign separate agreements, protocols and memorandums on issues related to the content of this Agreement, which shall constitute an integral part of this Agreement.
Article 7
This Agreement is concluded for an indefinite period and shall enter into force on the date of its signature by all Parties.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine shall serve as the Depository of this Agreement, which shall ensure the safekeeping of the original copy of this Agreement.
The Depository shall send a certified copy of this Agreement to each of the signatory Parties. Either Party may terminate its participation in this Agreement by giving the Depository at least three months’ written notice of its intention to terminate its participation in this Agreement.
