On June 26, 2015, the Parliamentary meeting “Security in Europe: the current situation and lessons for policy makers” took place in Kyiv, involving representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of GUAM, the Baltic Assembly, the Nordic Council, and also representatives from the Benelux Parliament and the Vysegrad Group.
Also, on June 26, 2015, the first meeting of the GUAM PA’s Committee on Political, Legal Affairs and Interregional Cooperation took place on the premises of the GUAM Secretariat.
During the meeting, participants considered the Draft Resolution on the political and legal aspects of regulating territorial conflicts in the GUAM area and on interparliamentary cooperation, with the purpose of consolidating the positions of GUAM member states.
The meeting also addressed issues regarding the implementation of signed joint Statements and other documents of the GUAM PA, as well as providing assistance for interparliamentary cooperation between the GUAM and Parliamentary assemblies of other international regional organisations. Participants also discussed the venue and place for holding other PA GUAM Committee meetings.
The results of the meeting were reflected in the final Minutes.
