16-17 October 2019, the 31st Meeting of GUAM Trade and Transport Facilitation Project Steering Committee took place in Chișinău and Ștefan Vodă, the Republic of Moldova.

At the meeting, the Parties discussed the fulfilment of trade and transport facilitation project in the GUAM Member States, emphasized the efficiency of regular monitoring for implementing concluded international agreements in the customs sphere, as well as noted the relevance of experience exchange on the practice of introduction of the specific international treaties in the GUAM Member States.

The participants visited the Palanca-Maiaki-Udobnoe checkpoint on the Moldovan-Ukrainian border and got acquainted with the best experience of the Moldovan and Ukrainian control services in implementing joint control at the checkpoint on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

The parties agreed to continue the regular exchange of the best practices in customs administration, as well as consultations on issues of international customs cooperation of mutual interest, including within the TTFP Steering Committee.

The next meeting will hold in the first half of 2020.
