26 September 2019, in New York, the 34th Meeting of the GUAM Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs (CMFA) was held on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly that was attended by E. Mammadyarov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan; D. Zalkaliani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia; N. Popescu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova; V. Prystaiko, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (chaired the meeting) and A. Efendiev, the GUAM Secretary General.
The CMFA considered the issues of political interaction, the inter-parliamentary cooperation in the GUAM format and the development of sectoral cooperation. The issues of collaboration with partner states, other countries and international organizations were also discussed.
The Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs approved the new edition of the Regulation for the institution of a country-coordinator of the GUAM sectoral working group/subgroup.
