On July 7-8, 2015, the 22rd Meeting of the GUAM Trade and Transport Facilitation Project Steering Committee took place in Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan, involving Heads of Customs authorities from GUAM member states.
During the meeting, the Parties signed a Protocol between the customs authorities of the relevant GUAM Member States on organizing the exchange of preliminary information to facilitate the trade and transport of goods and vehicles across the borders of GUAM Member States.
During the meeting, the Parties also considered a Draft Protocol between the customs authorities of GUAM Member States regarding the mutual recognition of individual results regarding the customs control of trade and transport facilitation between customs authorities of GUAM Member States.
The Parties also familiarized themselves with the innovative projects occurring under the State Customs Committee of the Azerbaijan Republic at the Center for Operational Administration “Target Center”.
The Parties decided to hold the next meeting of the TTF Steering Committee in Georgia in the first half of 2015. The date and venue of the meeting shall be agreed on through diplomatic channels.
