On March 6-7, 2012, the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv, Ukraine hosted the 3rd meeting of the Working Sub-Group on Law Statistics (WGS-STAT), which was held under the Georgian chairmanship.
Participating delegations exchanged statistical data with respect to combating crime in GUAM member states in 2011. They also discussed and approved the entire text of the draft of the Joint Information Bulletin, which was developed by Georgia.
The Working Sub-Group also considered the practical and organisational issues entailed in drafting a joint international project on legal statistics.
The outcomes of the meeting were reflected in the resultant Protocol. The next meeting of the WGS-STAT is scheduled to take place on March 14-15, 2013.
