On November 21-22, 2011, the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv, Ukraine hosted the second meeting of the Working Sub-Group on Law Statistics (WGS-STAT), which was held under Georgia’s chairmanship.
The participating delegations exchanged information on the process of preparing statistical data on combatting crime in the GUAM member states for the common Information Bulletin for 2011. The relevant statistical data forms were agreed upon in the course of the meeting.
The WGS-STAT participants also discussed possibilities with respect to working out joint international projects related to legal statistics, as well as criminal analysis.
The outcomes of the meeting were reflected in the resultant Protocol. The next meeting of the WGS-STAT is scheduled to take place on March 15-16, 2012 in Kyiv.
