On 21st January 2011 the 7th Meeting of Working Group on Tourism took place in Secretariat of Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM with participation of tourist administrations, representatives of touristic agencies of GUAM member states, representatives of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine and GUAM Secretariat.
Participants of the meeting welcomed the adoption of Joint Statement of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and Prime Minister of Japan Naoto Kan on Ukrainian-Japanese Global Partnership, particularly, article 22 of the Statement on GUAM-Japan partnership, and expressed confidence that it will accelerate cooperation in the field of tourism.
Participants of Working Group agreed the structure of common tourist product, which will be presented during JICA seminar in the field of tourism for GUAM countries (13-26 February 2011, Tokyo). They also decided to take part in the next JATA World Travel Fair in September 2011 in Tokyo with common GUAM booth.
Following the results of Working Group the Protocol was signed.
Next Meeting of Working Group on Tourism will take place at the second quarter 2011.
