On June 16, 2016, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Ukraine, Mr E. Belotserkovski, received Secretary General of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM, Mr A. Efendiev.
At the meeting, which took place in an open and friendly atmosphere, the Secretary General spoke in detail about the Organization, the priority areas of cooperation as well as the forms of GUAM’s interaction with external partners and international organizations.
In the course of the constructive conversation, possible areas of GUAM’s interaction with Israel were considered taking into account the close and fruitful relations of the country with the member states of the Organization as well as Israel’s.
The sides also exchanged information and opinions on the situation in the region and around it and stressed the importance of maintaining stability and developing cooperation with all interested parties.
An agreement was reached to hold additional meetings with the participation of representatives of the GUAM countries in an expanded format with the aim of identifying specific areas of cooperation of mutual interest.
