During 22-26 June 2009, the law-enforcement agencies of the GUAM Member States carried out joint operation under the nickname “Narcostop-2009” on combat against illicit trafficking in drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors.
The main results of the operation presented in a summary table below. In preparation and execution of the operation the GUAM Member States law-enforcement agencies exchanged information through the channels of the GUAM Virtual Law Enforcement Center and Interstate Information Management System. The results of the operation will be discussed at the next regular meeting of the GUAM Working Sub-Group on Combating Drug Trafficking, country-coordinator of which for the period 2009-2010 is the Republic of Azerbaijan.
