Meetings of Secretary General of GUAM at the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs with Deputy-chief of the Political Department and Director of Continental Europe

On 23 May 2008, Secretary General of GUAM Mr. Valeri Chechelashvili had a meetings in Paris at the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Deputy-chief of the Political Department Mrs. Véronique Bujon-Barré and Director of Continental Europe Mr. Jacques Faure.

The Secretary General provided information on the ongoing cooperation in GUAM format and perspectives of implementation of regional projects. The Secretary General furnished the information on the preparation to the Tbilisi GUAM Summit (1-2 July 2008). An important role of EU and its future Presidency – France in the process of encouragement of regional cooperation in the Southeastern Europe and facilitation of peaceful resolution process of the conflicts on the territories of some GUAM was particularly underlined. The readiness and openness of GUAM for cooperation was once again reconfirmed.
