6 April 2021, the 33rd Meeting of the GUAM Trade and Transport Facilitation Project Steering Committee was held by a videoconference.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the Protocol of the 32nd meeting of the TTFP SC and the work done by the reporting Working Groups on Blockchain and Authorized Economic Operators (AEOs). The parties provided detailed information on the latest achievements and innovations in the customs field of their countries.
The project to improve the movement of transit cargo across the borders of the GUAM Member States through using digital technologies was also discussed during the meeting. In addition, the parties exchanged information on the results of the GUAM-Japan Workshop in the customs sphere (March 15-19 this year, held by videoconference) and possible joint projects in this area.
