On 25-26 June 2010 in Chisinau (the Republic of Moldova), the representatives of the GUAM Secretariat and its member states took part in the Interregional Workshop on Cross-border Cooperation organized by the Budapest-located International Centre for Democratic Transition (ICDT).
It was fourth workshop with the participation of GUAM organized within the implementation of the ICDT project on “Sharing the Experiences of Visegrad Cooperation in the Western Balkans and the Eastern Partnership Countries”. The topic of the current workshop was focused on promoting regional cooperation and European integration by means of “Euroregions” as a tool to promote confidence-building and conflict resolution. Special attention was drawn to a role of NGOs as well as practical aspects of developing cross-border cooperation.
