On 15th December 2010 the 5th Meeting of the Working Group on Culture, Science and Education (WGCSE) took place in GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv under the chairmanship of Secretary General on Science Academy of Science of the Republic of Moldova professor Mr. Ion Gucheac, with the participation of Permanent representative of Georgia in GUAM Mr. M.Antadze, Director of Department on development of high education of Ministry of education and science of Georgia Mr. N.Chitaia (by videoconference), representatives of the respective ministries of GUAM member states, Program coordinator of GUAM Secretariat Mr. S.Temirov.
WGCSE defined priority directions of regional cooperation in the field of culture, science and technological development, agreed to develop proposals on organization of the «summer schools» for young scientists in order to involve them in advanced researches in the field of a science and technological development, considered the issues on organization of videoconferences in priority areas in 2011 and possibility of creation of joint research groups of GUAM member states scientists, as well as agreed to make proposals concerning concepts of GUAM grant programs in the field of culture, science and education.
The next WGCSE Meeting is planned to be hold in the first half of year 2011. Date and venue of regular Meeting will be agreed through diplomatic channels.
