On 10 November 2009 Secretary General participated in the Joint Session of GUAM Parliamentary Assembly and Baltic Assembly, held in Tbilisi, Georgia. Joint Session assessed cooperation between two institutions, developed so far and approved guidelines for future cooperation. Secretary General, addressing the Joint Session, welcomed the signature of Declaration of cooperation, signed between two institutions in Vilnius on 19 June 2009, underscored the importance of already established tradition of cooperation and invited participants of the meeting to contribute to the implementation of GUAM and GUAM+ format projects, inter alia, under the EU Eastern Partnership program.
