On December 4, 2008 the 8th Meeting of the GUAM Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs was held in Helsinki, Finland, within the framework of the OSCE 16th Ministerial Council Meeting.
Ministers considered issues of on-going cooperation in GUAM, such as political interaction (including cooperation of GUAM Missions in international organizations), sectoral cooperation (including process of GUAM projects and programs generation in respective Working Groups), and organizational matters.
Ministers welcomed deployment of GUAM Secretariat in its permanent premises in Kyiv and decided to inaugurate it in February 2009.
