On June 3, 2016, the Secretary General of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM Mr. Altai Efendiev participated in the meeting of the Council of Exporters and Investors under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. This event took place within International Transport Week in Odessa, Ukraine.
The Secretary General addressed the participants with welcoming remarks, emphasized the outcomes of the discussions related to the promotion of the multilateral cooperation in the development of the East-West transport and transit corridors to stimulate regional trade and cooperation.
He underlined the importance of the feedback from the business community in order to develop these transport routes as safe, secure, easy to use and competitive to attract also transit flows between Europe and Asia.
As a result of discussion he proposed to organize later this year forum with participation of all regional stakeholders and interested parties to address all related issues.
