On December 3 2015, in Belgrade, the 3rd GUAM-Japan ministerial meeting took place in the margins of the OSCE Ministerial.
The GUAM Side was represented by: Mr. Elmar Mammadyarov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Mr. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia; Mrs. Natalia Gherman, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova; Mr. Pavlo Klimkin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (GUAM Chairmanship); and Mr. Valeri Chechelashivili, GUAM Secretary General.
The Japanese Side was represented by Mr. Yoji Muto, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan.
The Sides were pleased to emphasise the facilitation of GUAM-Japan cooperation and exchanged views on a wide range of issues of mutual interest, as well as on cooperation in the international sphere.
The Sides emphasized added value of enhanced GUAM-Japan interaction, aimed at ensuring peace, stability and prosperity in each region.
The GUAM Ministers expressed their gratitude to the Japanese Side for the excellent organization the 6th “GUAM-Japan” meeting, held on July 16, 2015 in Tokyo.
The Sides signed the «GUAM-Japan Cooperation Program”. The Sides are confident that it will deepen the dialogue and further promote the expansion of GUAM-Japan cooperation generating new projects and cooperation programmes.
The Sides reconfirmed the readiness and interest to keep high-level dialogue, including both GUAM-Japan cooperation and wide range of regional and global issues.
The time and venue of next GUAM-Japan meeting will be agreed through diplomatic channels.
