The Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM condemns the signing of the so-called «treaty on alliance and integration” between the Russian Federation and Tskhinvali regime on 18 March 2015.
The so-called “treaty”, like the previous one signed with Sokhumi regime is directed against Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and represents a step towards factual annexation of the occupied regions of Georgia. This illegal act constitutes a grave violation of the fundamental norms and principles of international law and has no legal standing.
The Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM reiterates its firm support to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia within its internationally recognized borders.
