23 October 2019, under the chairmanship of the Moldovan Side, the 22nd Meeting of the Working Sub-Group on Combating Trafficking in Persons and Illegal Migration hold in Khmelnytsky, Ukraine.
The participants summed up and listened to the recommendations made during the training «Safe, orderly and legal migration as the goal of managing migration processes» in Khmelnytsky, and also noted the advisability of practical cooperation with other countries in combating trafficking in persons and illegal migration.
Besides, the participants exchanged information on the changes in national legislation, the operational situation and the activities of the GUAM Member States in combating trafficking in persons and illegal migration. The parties also discussed the issues of expanding interaction and cooperation with civil society, including non-governmental organizations, to support the exchange of knowledge, strengthen partnerships and inform about measures aimed at combating human trafficking.
