On 25th June 2010 5th Meeting of Working Group on Tourism at the level of the Heads of respective Institutions took place in Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting the issues of GUAM joint tourist product implementation in interaction with Japan, as well as “bottlenecks” of GUAM common tourist potential were discussed; GUAM common tourism product implementation Plan of action, structure and content of GUAM tourism internet-portal and tourism guidebook were endorsed.
As an outcome of the Meeting, Baku Declaration of Heads of institutions, responsible for tourism development, was approved.
The Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. A.Karayev, Director of Tourism and Resorts Department of Ministry of Economic Development of Georgia Mr. Z. Abazadze, Director General of the Agency for Tourism of the Republic of Moldova Mrs. L. Dumitras, Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine in the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. D.Bozhok, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Japan in the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. M.Oki, JTB representative Mr. T.Odashima, GUAM Secretary General Mr. V.Chechelashvili and Program Coordinator of the GUAM Secretariat Mr. S.Temirov took part in the Meeting.
