On December 24, 2014, Mr. Valeri Chechelashvili , the Secretary General of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM, held a meeting with the Deputy Head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, Mr. Anatoliy Makarenko.
During the meeting, the Parties exchanged views on issues related to cooperation in the field of customs service (business), and emphasized the necessity to initiate new projects aimed at improving customs inspection and reducing the transit time for goods through checkpoints, which should have a positive influence on the development of GUAM’s transport potential.
Apart from that, the Parties discussed the agenda for the forthcoming meeting of GUAM TTF SC, which will be held in the first half of 2015 in the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the advisability of holding this at the level of the Heads of Customs Services of GUAM member-states.
