On February 3, 2016, the Secretary General of Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM, Mr. Altai Efendiev, was received by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine, Mr. Yönet Can Tezel.
During the meeting, the Parties discussed current issues of regional cooperation in the Black Sea – Caspian Sea region. The Secretary General informed the Ambassador about the Organization’s priorities and goals, ongoing cooperation within the GUAM and GUAM+ formats, the activity of its working bodies, as well as updating on current projects and initiatives, inter alia, in the field of transport, trade, energy, etc. The Parties expressed interest in cooperating to implement regional projects and initiatives, and agreed to continue close cooperation.
