On October 5, 2018, the Meeting of the Heads of Government of the Member States of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM was held in Chișinău.
The meeting was attended by Mr P. Filip, Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova; Mr V. Groysman, Prime Minister of Ukraine; Mr M. Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia; Mr A. Akhmedov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Mr A. Efendiev, GUAM Secretary General.
In their speeches, the Heads of Government noted the great potential and broad prospects for cooperation within the GUAM, the coinciding strategic interests of the Organization’s Member States and the importance of further developing and strengthening cooperation within the Organization in a number of areas, in particular in economy and trade, transport as well as security.
During the meeting, it was signed the Protocol among the customs administrations of the GUAM Member States on cooperation in the field of fight against customs offences related to the movement of goods by air transport across the state borders of the GUAM Member States.
The meeting resulted in the adoption of the Joint Statement of the Heads of Government of the GUAM Member States.
