26 February 2024, the Program coordinator of the GUAM Secretariat Sabuhi Tamirov participated via videoconference in the Second Round Table on the Practical Implementation of the «Guidelines for Mutual Recognition of Authorized Economic Operators (AEO)» by the World Customs Organization in Central Asia and South Caucasus Regions. The event was organized in the framework of the second phase of the Global Transit Document Pilot Project – joint initiative by the International Centre of Transport Diplomacy, Permanent Secretariat of IGC TRACECA and Intergovernmental Council of Road Administrators.
Head of the Department of AEO and simplified procedures of the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova, representative of the Working Group of GUAM on AEO from Moldova, Tatiana Moraru, also attended the meeting.
During the event, Sabuhi Tamirov welcomed participants with the opening speech, and Tatiana Moraru presented information on the development of the AEO in the Republic of Moldova and within the GUAM Protocol of intent between the Customs Administrations of GUAM Member States on the mutual recognition of Authorized Economic Operators.
