A new issue of the Journal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan «Diplomatiya Aləmi» («World of Diplomacy») has been published, where the materials on the history of the Organization’s establishment and its current structure are presented, as well as the directions of sectoral and international cooperation within the GUAM are outlined.
In addition, GUAM Secretary General, Ambassador A. Efendiev has prepared an article on the transformation of GUAM in the modern world, identifying the challenges and opportunities for further regional cooperation.
The possibilities of developing the transport and economic component of the Organization and creating a new environment with safer and more stable routes connecting Europe and Asia have been analyzed by K. Gogolashvili, Director of EU Studies Center at Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (Rondeli Foundation).
Prospects for deepening cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova within the GUAM have been presented in the articles by H. Shelest, Director of Security Programmes, and T. Zosymenko, Director of Economic Diplomacy at the Foreign Policy Council «Ukrainian Prism», as well as R. Shevchenko, Deputy Director of the Institute for Effective Policy of the Republic of Moldova.
