On 11-12 March 2010, the regular meeting of the GUAM member states experts on protection of information held under the Georgian chairmanship with the participation of the representatives of interested export control and customs authorities of Ukraine as well as the U.S. Embassy took place in the GUAM Secretariat in Kyiv.
The parties exchanged information in connection with the conclusion of the confirmation process and entry into force of the Protocol of 2008 related to the protection of information within the GUAM IIMS channels, agreed the relevant draft agreements as well as the Plan of Measures on equipping the GUAM IIMS with the means of protection of information.
They discussed also with the U.S. side the issues of the implementation of the 2nd phase of the GUAM-USA Framework Program project on modernization of the GUAM IIMS national segments and confirmed their readiness to fulfil the appropriate works approximately in the end of May this year.
